Star Wars: Samuel L. Jackson Would Love To Return As Mace Windu

It looks like Samuel L. Jackson also wants to make his way back to the Star Wars franchise. With Carrie Fisher making an appearance in Star Wars: Episode IX and Mark Hamill returning to reprise his role as the legendary Luke Skywalker in the final film in Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy, we see Jackson hoping to return as Jedi Master Mace Window.

Speaking in an interview with Red Carpet News TV about Incredibles 2, Jackson was asked whether he'd like to revisit his Star Wars character Mace Windu after reprising his role as the cool-as-a-breeze hero Frozone in the sequels to Incredibles 2. Though the actor doesn't confirm whether or not he'll be able to put on his robes any time soon, he does seem pretty interested in reprising his role as Windu.

"I'll cash that check," Jackson told the publication. "Yeah, I'm totally interested in revisiting Mace Windu, always. Jedi never die."

They never really do. The Jedi always return through the power of the Force. If Yoda was able to get a little cameo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, then why not Mace Windu in Episode IX or some other future Star Wars film?

Of course, this isn't the first time that Jackson expressed interest in returning as Windu. The Marvel actor also campaigned for the character's return to the big screen during the Star Wars Celebration's 40th-anniversary panel back in 2014. With Jackson actively expressing interest in reprising his role, nothing really is impossible. We'll just have to wait and see.

Star Wars: Episode IX premieres on December 20, 2019.
