The Mandalorian Season 2 saw the jaw-dropping live-action debut of famed Jedi Ahsoka Tano and she certainly lived up to the hype, so much so that Lucasfilm greenlit a standalone Ahsoka series which will be led by Rosario Dawson. With the evident expansion of the "Mandoverse", it's safe to assume that we'll see characters like Ahsoka become a main fixture in the franchise in the foreseeable future.

However, despite the fact that Din Djarin was the one who laid the groundwork for the Mandoverse and its eventual expansion, Lucasfilm might have other plans in mind that could alter the future of the franchise moving forward. According to a new Patreon rumor from tipster Daniel Richtman, it is expected that actress Rosario Dawson will have an even bigger role in the Star Wars franchise as the Mandoverse will revolve around Ahsoka Tano and not Din Djarin.

It seems a little hard to believe but with Pascal taking on other commitments outside the franchise, the general belief right now is that the Chilean actor won't be sticking around in the Star Wars universe for long. After all, The Mandalorian was originally set to run for only four seasons but of course, things could change if Pedro decides to sign a new deal.

It's also worth noting that Pascal's involvement in HBO's live-action adaptation of the hit video game The Last of Us may have been one of the reasons why The Mandalorian's third season has yet to begin production. There's no denying that Pascal became an even bigger name in the world of entertainment thanks to Star Wars but I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to pursue other things in the future and leave the franchise permanently.

Ahsoka is scheduled to hit Disney+ sometime in 2022.
