Star Wars: Rogue One’s Donnie Yen Does the #BottleCapChallenge BLIND

Jason Statham was making the rounds online with this video of him kicking a cap off of a bottle and thus has started the #BottleCapChallenge. Now Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's Donnie Yen ups the ante by performing the challenge blind.

Check it out:

Ever since IP Man, Yen has proved himself to be a master martial artist, and it was probably his popularity that got him that role in Star Wars in the first place. For now, we know that Yen's Chirrut is gone, but no doubt he still has a lot of great roles ahead of him.

For now, Yen is attached as a general in Disney's live-action Mulan, and it looks like he's going to be taking over the mentor role for the film. We know that it was Mulan's love interest Shang who trained the men, but the movie is looking to change the formula up a bit when it comes to this live-action remake.

What's more interesting, probably, is that rumors are going around that Yen is on a shortlist to play a character in Marvel Studios' Shang-Chi film. We don't really know who Yen is going to play, but some guess he's being eyed for the main villain who is rumored to be the real Mandarin. I'd want him to play the hero, but I guess they would want someone a tad younger. Yen is already pushing 50, and I don't expect him to be enthused about signing up for a long-term commitment with Marvel.

Catch Yen in Mulan when it comes out March 27, 2020.
