Star Wars’ Rey Compared To Toy Story 4’s Bo Peep

Bo Peep might have been mysteriously absent during Andy, Buzz, and Jessie's emotional adventure inToy Story 3, but Disney and Pixar made sure that fans would know that the fan-favorite sheep-herding toy would be making her way back to the franchise in Toy Story 4. Now, after getting her own character poster for the new Toy Story movie, fans have been comparing Bo Peep to another popular Disney character – Star Wars orphan, Rey.

In the character poster, fans get to see Bo Peep with a cape draping behind her back and a staff in her hand. With her legs spread apart and her face turned towards the side, Bo Peep does certainly look a lot like the Star Wars sequel trilogy's leading character.

Taking to Twitter, a Star Wars fan decided to put a picture of Rey from Star Wars: The Force Awakens alongside the poster of Bo Peep. Check it out down here:

With so many similarities to Rey, fans can't help but wonder whether Bo Peep's story arc in Toy Story 4 will take the same turns as Rey's in The Force Awakens. Will we get to see Bo Peep in the middle of a cosmic struggle between the First Order and the Resistance? Doesn't seem likely.

Still, the Bo Peep we'll get to see in Toy Story 4 isn't the same kind of toy we've met in earlier films. When Bo and Woody finally reunite in the movie, the two will soon realize that they've actually grown far apart.

"Bo's taken control of her own destiny," Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley said. "While Woody was watching Andy grow up, Bo gathered dust until she took it upon herself to head out into the world. And when Woody shows up, they can't believe that they've found each other again."

It's going to be interesting to see how the couple's dynamic has changed. Let's wait and see.

Toy Story 4 premieres June 21, 2019.
