Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Obliterates Avengers: Endgame in New Poll

Avengers: Endgame might have beat Avatar to become the highest-grossing film of all time, but it seems like the finale to Joe and Anthony Russo's two-part Avengers movie doesn't really stand a chance against Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

Rotten Tomatoes just recently held a poll asking fans to vote for their favorite summer movies all time, and the review aggregation website decided to pit Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Avengers: Endgame against each other.

Rotten Tomatoes' "Ultimate Summer Movie Showdown" poll allows fans to vote for the favorite summer films in head-to-head battles, and the fourth round of the site's event had fans choosing between Star Wars and Marvel.

The result came as a surprise.

Endgame might be the most recent release ( one that's managed to dominate the box office with its overwhelming success), however, it seems like the respondents of the poll seem to prefer the finale to George Lucas' Star Wars prequel trilogy.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, over 550,000 users voted for the fourth round of the "Ultimate Summer Movie Showdown" and 81 percent of the respondents decided to vote for Revenge of the Sith. Eighty-one percent is a definite win for the Star Wars movie sealing Anakin Skywalker's fate as Darth Vader.

The results of the poll definitely come as a surprise. Sure, Revenge of the Sith may have enjoyed critical success when it premiered back in 2005, but we can't help but wonder why Endgame would do so poorly. Were there more Star Wars fans voting for the "Ultimate Summer Movie Showdown"?

Maybe. It certainly feels like it.

Which film would you choose? Revenge of the Sith or Endgame? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
