Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is on the way, providing us with the final chapter of this long and bloated Skywalker Saga. We're finally going to see if Rey really did come from a special family and whether Kylo Ren deserves redemption (he doesn't) so fan reception to this final movie is going to be fun, whether it's extremely positive or negative. It's also a decent excuse for Disney to expand the Star Wars lore via other media, like this article's title.
Revealed by the Ultimate Star Wars New Edition (via Screen Rant), the guide tells us that Kylo Ren's face and identity isn't known by most of the First Order, with only a few members of the wannabe Empire seeing him without the mask, like General Hux. It's an interesting bit of info that makes Kylo Ren more compelling than he already is.
Here's what the book had to say about Ren:
Many of us are compelled to finish this flawed Star Wars saga simply because of Kylo Ren and how fascinating he is. Sure, he's still a villain who killed his father but is clearly conflicted by his actions and the fact that Luke thought about killing him for being close to the Dark Side messed him up. No, he doesn't deserve redemption but how the franchise and Force decide that will be interesting.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker comes out on December 20.
