Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren #1 is coming out this week, two days before the release of The Rise of Skywalker, which is brilliant timing in the part of LucasFilm and Marvel Comics. These comics have been great reads for Star Wars fans, offering new takes on classic tropes and even adding more plot elements to the movies.
Unsurprisingly, since this new series is called The Rise of Kylo Ren, we get to see how Ben Solo is corrupted by the Dark Side. This has a lot of people excited, even if it will become a bit dated by the time it ends since The Rise of Skywalker literally comes out on Friday. Still, there's a lot to look forward to when it comes to this series, including a battle between Kylo Ren and some of Luke Skywalker's students.
While most of them died in the fire Ren started, some of them were off-world when the massacre happened. One of them tries to talk some sense into Ren while the other two prepare their lightsabers since they know it's too late for the former Ben Solo.

This looks like a pretty good comic book tie-in, which makes sense since Charles Soule is writing it. The writer wrote the second Darth Vader series that came out last year and the long-running Poe Dameron comic that ran for some time.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker comes out on December 20. Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren hits comic book stores on December 18.
