The one that closed the original trilogy and concluded the epic tale between the Emperor and Darth Vader comes back in theaters as Star Wars: Return of the Jedi celebrates its 40th anniversary with an epic poster to hype the whole fanbase of the galaxy far, far away!

During the Star Wars Celebration this year, the iconic Star: Wars: Return of the Jedi received a new poster in celebration of its 40th anniversary and on top of that, the movie will be coming back to the big screens for a limited period of time on April 28th to May 4th.

The poster for the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi is shared online by Mark Ferguson with the caption, "So excited that I got to make the new one sheet art for the 40th anniversary of Star Wars Return Of The Jedi. Absolutely amazing to carry on what we started with The Empire Strikes Back…"

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi's promo poster for its theatrical re-run has Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker in the middle whilst handling his green lightsaber. Darth Vader is behind him and below them is Emperor Palpatine. Iconic stuff from the movie is also around the poster.

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi marks the end of the original Star Wars trilogy which heavily featured the conflict between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, plus the fall of the Galactic Empire all in one spectacle of a movie!

As the franchise continues to expand, new titles are also teased during the Star Wars Celebration where Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, confirmed that there are three upcoming Star Wars movies under development.

The three new films will be helmed by Dave Filoni, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and James Mangold. The unnamed Taika Waititi film is still on the slate of the franchise, too, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case for Rian Johnson's.

Other than the movies, the franchise is also expanding the narrative through the announcement of new seasons of existing shows and new series titles that are about to arrive in a few years.

See Star Wars: Return of the Jedi in theaters once more on April 28 to May 4, and perfectly celebrate Star Wars Day on May the Fourth with the movie!
