Star Wars Resistance Season 2 Gets a New Poster

While a lot of people thought that it was going to stay for a while, Star Wars Resistance is going to end with its final season which starts airing Sunday next week. We don't have any new trailer for the show, but Lucasfilm has dropped a new poster featuring Kaz and the crew.

With the first season of Resistance taking place in the same timeline as The Force Awakens, it's said that this second season will reveal what the crew of the Colossus was up to during the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. I don't expect the series to stay there too long though, and it's likely the show will end in a time right before The Rise of Skywalker. With TROS marking a definitive end for the Sequel Trilogy, it also kind of made sense that Resistance should end its story as well.

While some are bummed out that Resistance is ending, I think this opens up the opportunity for Lucasfilm animation to work on a whole new series. Admittedly, a lot of fans still think that Rebels and Resistance haven't lived up to the animation quality of The Clone Wars. Hopefully, with a new show, Lucasfilm animation will have a chance to up the Disney+ standard.

This is just my wishful thinking, but I hope they tap Avatar: The Last Airbender creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino for an animated Star Wars show.
