Lucasfilm might be careful to keep Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's secrets under wraps, however, it seems like details about the film are managing to leak out online now that Disney is preparing for Triple Force Friday.
Earlier today Star Wars fans were able to learn about BB-8's injury thanks to a new BB-8 Funko Pop for The Rise of Skywalker. Now, a new toy packaging for the film reveals a brand new detail – Kylo Ren is actually on a quest to find Dark Side secrets in Episode IX.
Star Wars News Net was able to take a look at some of The Rise of Skywalker merchandise that Lucasfilm is preparing for Triple Force Friday, and a Black Series figure for Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) includes a short character description that may reveal what the estranged son of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Leia (the late Carrie Fisher) is actually up to when the film begins.
"As Supreme Leader of the First Order, Kylo Ren wields more power than ever before. Nevertheless, Ren continues to search for secrets of the Force from the depths of the Dark Side," the figure description reads.
Is this what leads Rey (Daisy Ridley) and the Resistance to find the remains of the Death Star? What kind of Dark Side secrets is Kylo looking for? Is this how Emperor Palpatine returns in the film?
It's hard not to connect Dark Side secrets to Darth Sidious, after all. Palpatine's return is one of Episode IX's biggest mysteries, though many speculate that the Sith Lord could very well return through a hologram or through the use of a Dark Side artifact.
Let's wait and see.
