Star Wars Resistance is yet another quality animated series based on the popular franchise so it's not a huge surprise to know that the show has been renewed for season 2. The first season surprised many with its diverse cast and fun characters, along with good use of heroes from the movies like Poe Dameron. It's too early to say if this is better than Rebels or even Clone Wars but it's a good show and that's the important part.
The official Star Wars website has confirmed that we will be seeing season 2 on fall 2019, along with the show's return from its mid-season break. It will be back this Sunday so fans won't have to wait too long to get more Star Wars action.
Like anything regarding Disney's use of the franchise, Resistance was initially met with some hostility as fans had a hard time adjusting to the anime-like art style, though fans did eventually get used to it. Though it isn't the Rebels follow-up fans wanted, especially after that ending, it's still a good show and people are excited about more episodes.
Not only are we getting more Star Wars Resistance but we will also get the final season of The Clone Wars, something fans have wanted for the longest time. This will finally resolve some of those long-standing plotlines and set up how Anakin eventually falls to the dark side in Revenge of the Sith. Plus, we finally get to see why Ahsoka wasn't in Episode III.
Star Wars Resistance returns this Sunday, on January 13.
