Star Wars Reportedly Casts Mena Massoud as Ezra Bridger for Ahsoka Tano Series

It looks like Mena Massoud is about to join a whole new world. The Aladdin actor has reportedly been cast as Ezra Bridger in the upcoming Star Wars series about Ahsoka Tano.

Kessel Run Transmissions reports that Massoud has been chosen to play the live-action version of the Star Wars Rebels character. Massoud will star alongside Rosario Dawson, who debuted as the live-action Ahsoka in The Mandalorian Season 2.

It's an interesting casting choice considering that fans were expecting Disney and Lucasfilm would go for someone a little bit older for the role. On the other hand, Massoud has already proven his star power with the success of Aladdin. His connections with the House of Mouse could explain why he was considered for the role.

The Ahsoka Tano series will focus on the former Jedi's mission that was teased in The Mandalorian Season 2. In the episode Chapter 5: The Jedi, Ahsoka was trying to track down the whereabouts of Grand Admiral Thrawn, who was the last person to see Ezra in Star Wars Rebels.

The cool thing about the casting news is that it could confirm that Ezra will play an important role in Ahsoka. Could this mean that the character will appear in more Star Wars shows in the future? Fans are hoping for the best for Ezra.

It is important to point out that Massoud's casting in Ahsoka has not yet been announced by Disney and Lucasfilm. With that in mind, it's best to take this with a grain of salt.
