Star Wars Reportedly Casting Ezra Bridger for New Live-Action Disney+ Series

It looks like Disney might be mining the Star Wars animated shows for new content. A new report suggests that the House of Mouse is currently looking to cast the live-action version of Ezra Bridger for a new series that will air on Disney+.

There have already been speculations that Ezra could be one of the major characters who is set to appear in The Mandalorian Season 2 after it was reported that Rosario Dawson could play Ahsoka Tano in the series. However, The Illuminerdi points out that recent casting news of what seems to be the Star Wars Rebels character is actually for a different show.

"The ongoing casting search is focused on finding a male, between the ages of 30 to 40. They are looking for an actor of color, specifically performers of Asian descent, however they are open to Indian, Latino, or Middle Eastern actors as well. Additionally, we know that the Ezra Bridger casting is for a Disney+ debut, while we were assured that it was not for The Mandalorian specifically," the report reads.

It sounds like Ezra's story could be explored after he disappeared in the Rebels finale. Could this mean we will finally find out what happened to him after all this time? Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

It is important to point out that the casting news has not yet been confirmed by Disney or Lucasfilm. With that in mind, it's best to take this with a grain of salt.
