I think we can all agree that nothing screams Star Wars fan service more than The Mandalorian and with just two seasons, the hit Disney+ series developed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni has successfully pleased longtime fans of the franchise the way Disney's sequel trilogy couldn't. Now, with Season 3 hitting the House of Mouse's streaming service later this year, it would be safe to assume that the brilliant minds behind the show will continue the tradition of delivering fans with astounding Star Wars content.

Speaking of the third season, one actor from the Star Wars animated universe has expressed his desire to join the MandoVerse. Kevin McKidd, who voices Star Wars Rebels character Fenn Rau recently took to Twitter to approve a fan's idea saying that the famed Mandalorian and leader of the Protectors of Concord Dawn should make his live-action debut in Season 3 of the Pedro Pascal-led series.

Interestingly, McKidd fueled speculation about Fenn's live-action appearance in the MandoVerse after reportedly being spotted on the set of The Mandalorian Season 3 late last year. The rumor was never confirmed but what if he's just playing coy and is actually showing up in the upcoming season?

The Mandalorian and MandoVerse, in general, has somewhat served as an extension of the animated universe, as evidenced by appearances from beloved Star Wars characters Bo-Katan Kryze and Ahsoka Tano so the idea of Fenn Rau eventually joining the fold is not a question of "if" but rather a question of "when".

No official release date has been announced for The Mandalorian Season 3.
