Star Wars Possibly Reveals Chilling Connection Between Palpatine And Snoke

He might long be dead but that doesn't mean that Supreme Leader Snoke is no longer a significant part of the Star Wars Universe. Interestingly, the villain might even have a chilling connection to Emperor Sheev Palpatine, as teased by a new Star Wars comic book.

In the comics Age of Resistance: Supreme Leader Snoke, readers are given the chance to learn about how the First Order leader trained Kylo Ren. At one point, he brings Kylo back to Dagobah for the brutal training regimen and Snoke makes a strange comment about the man who had trained Kylo first.

"If I had your uncle by my side instead of you, the galaxy would have been mine a long time ago," Snoke says to the former Ben Solo. It's undoubtedly a reference to Luke Skywalker and Snoke might just be trying to insult Kylo during the exchange. However, it also hints at a possible connection between Snoke and Palpatine, who had previously wanted Luke to join the Dark Side.

So what could this all mean? Was Snoke supposed to continue with Palpatine's plans before the Emperor was unceremoniously yeeted into his death by Darth Vader? Has Palpatine been controlling Snoke in order to train Kylo? It's all based on speculations for now but it's an intriguing idea indeed.

We already know that Palpatine will be back in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker so there is a huge possibility that there is some strange connection between him and Snoke. Although the Tom Taylor comic merely hinted at the idea, it could all be revealed this December.

Age of Resistance: Supreme Leader Snoke is currently available on digital and in your favorite comic book stores. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20.
