Star Wars: Pedro Pascal Shares The Mandalorian Season 3 Production Update

It will still be a long wait for The Mandalorian Season 3 but fans have been expecting the Star Wars series to start filming right away. So have the cast and crew started working on the next season? Pedro Pascal has shared an update on the Disney+ show's production schedule.

Pascal recently took part in Variety's Actors on Actors conversations where he did a two-way interview with none other than Ewan McGregor. The Obi-Wan Kenobi series actor asked the Wonder Woman 1984 star if he has already begun working on The Mandalorian Season 3. Interestingly, Pascal revealed that they haven't started filming yet.

It's evident that Pascal and McGregor are having fun in the conversation. The former Game of Thrones actor even considered telling the Birds of Prey star some details before they laughed hysterically at the idea of dropping spoilers.

The revelation is a huge surprise for fans considering that The Mandalorian Season 3 was expected to begin production this month. On the other hand, there is a possibility that the interview was filmed a few months ago and filming has not yet started. We'll have to wait for the full interview to find out.

It might be disappointing to know that The Mandalorian Season 3 has not started filming yet but it's best to remember that the series isn't set to return until next year. In the meantime, it looks like Disney and Lucasfilm are focused on The Book of Boba Fett, Kenobi, and the Cassian Andor series.

The Mandalorian Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date but is expected to premiere on Disney+ in late 2022.
