With the movie set as the final installment of the Skywalker Saga, there are high hopes and expectations as to how The Rise of Skywalker would provide a fitting ending. While some fans were satisfied with the film's ending, some were disappointed with it as well. The movie has had divisive reviews overall. Starring in the sequel trilogy as Poe Dameron, what does Oscar Isaac think about the film's reception?

Speaking with MTV News, Isaac was asked if he was surprised at the movie receiving such intense reviews from both positive and negative sides, "Not really," he said. "You know, it was the same on the movie before that as well."

"You know people — it means a lot to people," Isaac added. When asked if he feels the criticism was justified, he replied in a joking manner. Saying, "Yeah, look. Was there some crying the shower? Yes!"

It's nice to know that the actor is keeping a sense of humor with regards to such a serious topic. Isaac doesn't seem to be surprised about the reviews too, maybe because The Last Jedi was just as loud, or even louder, and basically, everyone in the franchise is well aware of the fact that some people aren't going to be happy with what will be put out in the world.

It looks like Isaac isn't even interested in returning to the galaxy far, far away as well. When he was asked about the possibility of carrying Poe Dameron's story into a Disney+ series, he had a definitive answer. "Nope!" he simply said.
