Oscar Isaac is Not Interested in a Poe Dameron Disney+ Show

Lucasfilm is looking to close a big chapter for Star Wars with The Rise of Skywalker, but it isn't clear yet on whether this is the last we've seen of Rey, Poe, and Finn. With the success of The Mandalorian, some are wondering if we'll get series focused on ST characters, but apparently Oscar Isaac isn't interested.

When Collider asked Isaac about possibly continuing Poe Dameron's story with a Disney+ series, Isaac answered with a simple, "Nope!" Isaac's TROS co-star Keri Russell, who was also present in the interview, pointed out that he could be earning $3 million an episode, to which Isaac replied with, "…cashing in my chips."

I guess Star Wars has kind of been Isaac's biggest project since 2015, so ending the Sequel Trilogy could be his much-deserved break from the franchise. If anything, Poe Dameron's adventures continue in comic form, and maybe in a few years, Isaac will be willing to come back for a Disney+ show. Heck, I'd be fine if he just did a cameo or guest role.

For now, it looks like Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be closing several arcs, not just Kylo Ren and Rey's. While I would have loved if the film delved into a romance between Finn and Poe, it's been said that we won't get anything like that in the movie. Hopefully, we get at least a satisfying ending for the Resistance's top X-Wing pilot.

Catch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker when it comes out Dec. 20.
