Star Wars: New Augmented Reality Project Focused on Porgs Announced

Virtual Reality is all the rage in video games these days, with a number of properties getting the VR treatment in recent memory. Star Wars is one of these properties, with Vader Immortal just coming out last month. ILMxLAB has announced their latest project and it's one that a lot of fans probably saw coming; Porgs.

That's right, the super cute creatures that debuted during the controversial Last Jedi will soon get a VR game called Project Porg. ILMxLAB has promised that this VR game will have players taking care of Porgs and teaching them how to maneuver around certain areas. Players will also be treating these Porgs like pets, giving them treats and playing with them.

C-3PO will also be making an appearance, giving players tips and most likely acting as the game's tutorial to make things better. It will be fun seeing the Resistance droid getting angry at some of the player's more off-the-wall decisions. Expect those that hated the Last Jedi to be very mean to these cute little abominations.

This should be a really fun experience for fans of The Last Jedi and even those that just found these little creatures adorable. Don't expect a five-star game or anything like that but as a way to kill some time, it should be a guilty pleasure for Star Wars fans.

No official release date for Project Porg has been revealed but one might be coming out this Wednesday when ILMxLAB holds a press conference.
