Star Wars' Mark Hamill Reveals His Reaction To Luke Skywalker's Fate In The Last Jedi Ending


People had a certain reaction to how Star Wars: The Last Jedi concluded for Luke Skywalker. Interestingly, Mark Hamill has offered an accurate visual of how he looked when he was reading the last page of the Episode VIII script.

A fan recently tagged Hamill on a Twitter post featuring strange merchandise promoting The Last Jedi. The fan had simply pointed out that the Luke figurine didn't look anything like the character. However, Hamill pointed out that the action figure captured his likeness perfectly. Take a look at his tweet below.

"That expression was me reading the last page of The Force Awakens script," Hamill wrote. We have to admit, most of us had a similar look on our face when we realized what would happen to Luke in Episode VIII.

All kidding aside, people were hoping that Luke would survive until Star Wars:Episode IX to continue training Rey (Daisy Ridley). Although the character was given a truly fitting death, fans can rest assured that Hamill will be back in the Star Wars sequel. The TLJ actor has confirmed that he will reprise his iconic role in the film.

The cast of Episode IX is currently filming the highly anticipated sequel which has not yet been given an official title. Although there were speculations that Hamill was revealing the title on his Twitter account, we later learned that the actor was just trolling his fans. Nevertheless, there is hope that we will learn the Episode IX title before the end of the year.

Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
