Star Wars: Liam Neeson Comments on Qui-Gon Jinn's Possible Return to the Franchise

Qui-Gon Jinn may be long gone but not in the hearts of Star Wars fans. So is there any way that we'll see the Jedi Master again in a live-action film? Liam Neeson has just addressed the possibility of returning as Qui-Gon in the franchise.

Neeson recently spoke to ET Online where his role in two major franchises was brought up. In addition to being a part of Star Wars as Qui-Gon, the Taken star is also known for playing Ra's al Ghul in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. So would Neeson be open to revisiting "the superhero-verse" in the future? His answer was surprising.

"I'll be honest with you, no," Neeson said before explaining that he doesn't think highly of the genre.

"I'm really not a huge fan of the genre. I think it's Hollywood with all the bells and whistles and the technical achievements and stuff -- which I admire -- but I have no desire to go into the gym for three hours every day to pump myself up to squeeze into a Velcro suit with a cape," he concluded.

This might be disappointing news for fans who are still holding on to hope that Qui-Gon will eventually make an appearance in another Star Wars film. On the other hand, the character has already been effectively killed off in The Phantom Menace so it's probably best to let him stay dead.

Neeson recently reprised his role as Qui-Gon in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in a brief voice-over cameo.
