Star Wars Legend Mark Hamill Makes Fun Of His Original Costume

Mark Hamill might be one of the biggest names in Star Wars history, but that doesn't mean that the actor doesn't know how to poke fun at the franchise. Hamill's always been a joker (pun intended), and the Star Wars legend is infamous for trolling Star Wars fans with social media, making fun of all sorts of fan theories and engaging in all sorts of shenanigans.

This week, Hamill's decided to poke fun at himself and his old Star Wars costume as Luke Skywalker. Posting on Twitter, Hamill decided to share a GIF of himself together with other Star Wars legends like Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher. The GIF was taken from a behind-the-scenes clip from A New Hope, the very first entry in the franchise.

While the GIF seems pretty innocent enough with all the actors having fun working on Star Wars, Hamill couldn't help but make fun of his "droopy" outfit in the movie.

"This clip reminds me that they never got me the belt or suspenders I kept asking for. Still waiting...#LukeDroopyDrawers," the actor wrote in his tweet.

A lot of Star Wars fans decided to join in on the fun, telling the Star Wars legend that the clip is cute and reminding the actor that there actually is "no underwear in space," – a popular quote from Star Wars creator George Lucas.

Hamill certainly has his fun with the Star Wars fanbase, and we can't wait to see the actor reprise his role as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode IX.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
