Harrison Ford may no longer be able to return to Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away now that the Skywalker saga has come to an end with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but it looks like the Star Wars legend is excited to return to another franchise, this time Indiana Jones.

Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy just recently spoke with the BBC News during last night's British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), and during her discussion with the news outlet, the media executive got to talking about Indiana Jones 5. According to Kennedy, the fifth film in the Indiana Jones film franchise is still set for production. Not only did Kennedy confirm its status, but she also declared that "Harrison Ford will be involved," and that "he can't wait" to begin working on the project.

That's pretty good news. We're glad that Ford hasn't changed his mind about starring in Indiana Jones 5, even though it's clear that the Star Wars icon isn't the same man that he used to be in the very first Star Wars and Indiana Jones movie.

Right now there are very few details about how the story for Indiana Jones 5 is going to play out. We do know, however, that David Koepp is working on the film's script while Steven Spielberg is set to return behind the camera and direct the comic book movie for fans.

Indiana Jones 5 is seaid to pick up some time right after Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Indiana Jones 5 is set to release on July 10, 2021.
