When you think about phenomenal Star Wars video games, the iconic 2003 game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic instantly comes to mind, and to a lot of fans and gamers, it is still the superior Star Wars video game out there which is why it doesn't come as a surprise anymore how people have been clamoring for a remastered version of the game, if not an actual remake.

Rumors about Knights of the Old Republic being remade have been circulating for years now but they've remained just that, only rumors and nothing more. However, a reputable source claims that a new version of the game is in fact in the works and apparently, Aspyr confirmed it to him.

In a recent interview with MinnMax, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier revealed that the gaming company is already developing a KOTOR remake. He claims: "I basically confirmed that Aspyr, which is a company that has ported a bunch of KOTOR games, is working on a remake." Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed yet but as far as leaks are concerned, Schreier is a pretty legit source.

Should the rumors end up becoming true, don't expect the KOTOR remake to hit stores anytime soon as the current COVID-19 situation has halted the production of a lot of games including the highly-anticipated Gotham Knights. Still, a remake of the legendary Star Wars game is something worth getting excited about, and as much as the original is still holding up to this day, an updated version of it sounds awesome.

The original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game is playable on Android, Xbox, Microsoft Windows, Classic Mac OS, iOS.
