Star Wars: John Boyega Says Anakin Skywalker is a Better Jedi Than Rey

Do you think Rey is a truly talented Jedi? John Boyega would beg to differ. The Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor claims that Anakin Skywalker would totally beat the girl from Jakku in a fight any day.

Boyega recently shared an article claiming that Rey is a better Jedi than Anakin. He then pointed out that the Jedi Knight (not Master, sorry) could defeat Rey as well as Kylo Ren. Take a look at his tweet below.

"I'm sorry guys but Anakin slapping all of us in a pit of lava. Including Kylo," Boyega wrote.

Think that's a little harsh? Well, Boyega isn't backing down. When a fan pointed out that Anakin was unable to defeat Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Pacific Rim: Uprising star agreed but still stuck with his original comment.

There is little doubt that Rey is a gifted Force user but let's be real here: Anakin was the OG after Obi-Wan. He might whine about sand or throw fits for not being made Jedi Master but he's still a powerful Jedi.

It's still unclear if Anakin will actually show up in The Rise of Skywalker but fans believe that Hayden Christensen's recent visit to Star Wars Galaxy's Edge may have teased on the possibility. After all, it was already confirmed that the object Rey and Kylo destroyed in the final trailer was the Darth Vader shrine. We can't confirm Anakin's return just yet so it's best to take that with a grain of salt.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20.
