We all know for a fact that John Boyega has had some major issues with Lucasfilm over the last couple of years and the Star Wars sequel trilogy actor hasn't been shy about airing his grievances over the way his character Finn, and other people of color for that matter were handled. The issue made headlines last year and ultimately led to Kathleen Kennedy reaching out to the actor to talk things over.

As far as we know, their private conversation went well and all seems good between both parties. Now, a number of months after the issue blew up, rumors are circulating online that Boyega could be set for a huge Star Wars comeback via Disney+. According to That Hashtag Show, Lucasfilm is developing a new series that will take place following the events of The Rise of Skywalker. Boyega will most likely reprise his role as Finn but nothing was said about other characters like Rey or Poe.

It's nice that John and Lucasfilm were able to patch things up before things were blown out of proportion. I mean, all Boyega wanted was to play a character that had some significance in the franchise but over the course of the sequels, Finn's arc was continuously sidelined by other stories the production company thought mattered more.

As for the rumors of him returning for a Disney+ show, the idea isn't too farfetched to believe considering the House of Mouse is trying to expand its Star Wars content. It also makes sense for them to pick up where the sequels left off and continue the respective stories of Rey, Finn, Poe, and other characters that never got the opportunity to shine.

Meanwhile, the entire Skywalker saga is available for streaming on Disney+.
