Star Wars Actor John Boyega Reveals The One Line From The Last Jedi He Hated

Star Wars: The Last Jedi might have offered more character development for Finn, however, there was one line that John Boyega couldn't quite stomach in the movie.

The Star Wars sequel trilogy actor has been entertaining questions and comments from Star Wars fans on social media, and Boyega was recently asked whether he was the one behind the whole "chromedome" nickname for Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christine) in The Last Jedi. Boyega responded with a little candor – the long line of emojis at the end of the actor's tweet tells us that the Star Wars star didn't quite like the moment where Finn challenges Phasma, saying "Let's go chrome dome."

This isn't the first time that Boyega's expressed some dissent towards The Last Jedi. Speaking in an older interview with Hype Beast, the Star Wars sequel trilogy star revealed how he disagreed with some of the choices that the film made and that he had gone to Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) to air his concerns from time to time.

"The Force Awakens I think was the beginning of something quite solid, The Last Jedi if I'm being honest I'd say that was feeling a bit iffy for me," the actor told the entertainment news outlet, "I didn't necessarily agree with a lot of the choices in that and that's something that I spoke to Mark [Hamill] a lot about and we had conversations about it. And it was hard for all of us because we were separated."

This doesn't necessarily mean that The Last Jedi was a terrible film though. Despite the film's divisive nature, Rian Johnson's Star Wars entry enjoyed rave reviews from critics who appreciated the film's attempt at subverting Star Wars clichés.
