We finally have a new Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order trailer and it gives us a bit more story, along with some gameplay bits. While this doesn't completely explain Cal Kestis' character (and why should it?) it does give us a decent glimpse at the game's stakes and some awesome-looking boss battles. Overall, this is looking to be one of the better Star Wars games out there since we don't have a lot of single-player games based on the franchise these days.
Like the teaser before it, we see Cal and his allies running away from a brand-new Sith character. It turns out that Cal just formed an alliance with this unlikely crew and he has to team up with them if he wants to take down The Empire. Granted, there plans probably aren't that grand but this is Star Wars so it's easy enough to guess the main goal here.
Most of the excitement comes from the few gameplay sections we see, which has Cal taking on some huge bosses. The creatures have decent designs and should be fun to fight, assuming that the gameplay feels as good as it looks. What's seen here seems fun but we'll have to wait to get our hands on it before saying anything good about it.
Previews stated that the levels are more open-ended then they look, which we can only hope is true since this game looks pretty linear thus far, at least judging by this trailer and previous ones. That's not a bad thing at all, it's just that those reports made the game seem better than it appears to be right now.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order comes to PS4 and Xbox One on November 15.
