Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Almost Had an Alien Protagonist

When it was first shown, fans didn't know how to feel about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. When EA revealed the game with only cinematic footage, fans complained about the lack of gameplay and the fact that ReSpawn made the playable character a typical white male protagonist. Well, if this interview from Game Informer means anything, it looks like we almost got an alien Jedi as a playable character.

Apparently, they ended up with Cal Kestis because an alien protagonist would have "alienated" fans. They also decided not to make the lead character a female because they didn't want a new Jedi who would "compete" with Rey. In a way, it makes sense since Rey is the protagonist of the current Star Wars trilogy.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order might not be the most anticipated game of the year but it's still a title that a lot of fans are looking forward to. The trailers have done an okay job of hyping the game up but those that were able to play it feel like they haven't done the final product justice. Simply put, it's a game that has a lot of exploration and the trailers made it seem like a linear action title.

Fans will be able to play Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on November 15 for PS4 and Xbox One.
