Here's How Ahsoka Tano Ended Up with Blue Lightsabers in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7

There are a lot of things that the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars has revealed in its last few episodes. For instance, it was confirmed that the Siege of Mandalore takes place at the same time as Revenge of the Sith. In addition to that, we finally know why Ahsoka Tano ended up with blue lightsabers after all this time.

We already know that Ahsoka's lightsabers were green when she handed them over to the Jedi Council after she decided that she no longer wants to be part of the Order. However, the same lightsabers appeared to be blue in the first teasers for Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7. So what happened to the weapons? As it turns out, Anakin Skywalker may have something to do with the change.

In the episode Old Friends Not Forgotten, Ahsoka and Anakin were finally reunited and it was revealed that Anakin had kept his former padawan's lightsabers all this time. In addition to that, Anakin revealed he took care of the weapons and made them "maybe a little better." Interestingly, Anakin's influence may have affected the kyber crystals in the lightsabers, eventually turning them blue.

Although Ahsoka still has blue lightsabers in The Clone Wars, we already know that the weapons will eventually change colors yet again. As seen in Star Wars Rebels, the lightsabers now give off a white light, symbolizing that she is no longer connected to the Jedi.

Ahsoka returns in the next episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7, which will premiere on Disney+ on May 1.
