Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Will Let You Build Your Own Lightsaber

Have you ever wanted to build your own lightsaber complete with a kyber crystal? Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will let you do that, but you'll have to keep it a secret.

According to Cinemablend, there will be a special shop in Disneyland's Galaxy's Edge where you can create your own lightsaber. If this isn't awesome enough, finding the shop itself is a fully immersive Star Wars experience. Considering that the theme park is supposed to be based on a planet called Batuu, you'll find the Resistance and the First Order all around. Because of this, the lightsaber shop operates in secret.

So how will you be able to find the secret shop? It reportedly goes by the name Savi & Son Salvage. Once you find it, you can finally create an elegant weapon for a more civilized age.

Creating a lightsaber is certainly a great experience but it also comes with a hefty price tag. A finished hilt costs around $109 and you will need to add about $50 to get a blade to go with it. However, it's worth the price considering that it works almost as well as the real thing.

Lightsabers are certainly one of the most important items in the Star Wars Universe. For instance, people couldn't stop talking about Rey's new weapon in Star Wars: Episode IX. There are speculations that Rey will create her own lightsaber using the kyber crystal from Luke Skywalker's destroyed weapon. Needless to say, it is something that we are all looking forward to in December.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens at Disneyland this summer. Star Wars: Episode IX hits theaters on December 20.
