Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Now Officially Open To The Public At Disneyland Resort

It's been a long wait but Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is finally open to the public. The new trailer for the Disneyland Resort area confirms that you can now get the chance to pilot the Millennium Falcon.

The trailer opens with a look at the Falcon just as a family gets to see it. The little girl is clearly astounded by what she sees. "I've waited my whole life for this," she says.

Soon, they step inside the Falcon and the young girl's father asks her if she's ready. "Are you?" she answers with a smile. It doesn't take long before they are laughing and cheering as the ship maneuvers its way around Galaxy's Edge.

It's an awesome confirmation that the new attraction Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run is now open to the public. The announcement is certainly a welcome one considering that most people have been hoping for a chance to be the pilot behind one of the most iconic spaceships in history.

For now, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run is the only major attraction available to the public. The other attraction Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will open later this year.

In addition to the Millennium Falcon, there are several interactive shops around Galaxy's Edge. People can create their own lightsabers at Sevi's Workshop or design the perfect droid at the Droid Depot. You can also enjoy a drink at Oga's Cantina although let's just hope Han Solo doesn't start something like what happened at the Mos Eisley cantina.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is currently open to the public at Disneyland Resort. The area at Disney World is scheduled to open on August 29.
