The Mandalorian is gearing up for its third season next year and while it promises to be yet another exhilarating season, there's still intrigue in the air within the Star Wars fandom regarding the whole Cara Dune situation.

Of course, a lot of you are aware that Gina Carano is no longer involved in the franchise after her controversial ousting from Star Wars last year due to the former mixed martial arts fighter's socio-political opinions on social media that have raised many eyebrows.

Despite the well-documented animosity between Carano and the House of Mouse, the actress has continued to represent her Star Wars character. In fact, Gina has become somewhat of a fixture at geek conventions and on Twitter, she would still post about Cara Dune every now and then.

Well, it turns out that Star Wars diehards are still hopeful that Disney will give Carano a second chance over a year following her unceremonious firing from the franchise. Carano recently took to Twitter to post an amazing artwork of her The Mandalorian character and it sparked renewed desire from the fandom to see Cara once again. Check out some of the tweets below:

It seems like it would take more than just fan campaigns for Disney to reverse their decision and I honestly don't think they'll bring back Carano for the role. Either they'll find someone new to take over the role or Cara Dune will be written off in the MandoVerse. But hey, you can never say never. Disney has pulled some surprises before.

The Mandalorian Season 3 is expected to hit Disney+ in February 2023.
