Star Wars Fans Reportedly Upset That Ben Solo Comic Book Won’t Get Adaptation

Sure, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) might have started off as whiny and incompetent in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, however, the wayward son of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Leia (the late Carrie Fisher) easily became a fan-favorite Star Wars villain because of the complexity of his character and his inner conflict.

While Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker did manage to lead Ben Solo down a path of redemption, Showbiz Cheat Sheet says that Star Wars fans are upset that Lucasfilm won't be able to explore the character's full story in a brand new Disney+ series or in a Star Wars movie.

Lucasfilm just recently ran Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren, a brand new comic book series focused on Kylo Ren's story. The series introduces Star Wars comic book readers to a young Ben Solo and a younger, kinder version of Snoke. We get to see the son of Han Solo and Leia take the first steps towards the Dark Side, being led by an older man who seems like a kind gardener trying to help Ben find his way in the Force.

The comic book series has drawn in quite a number of fans, and while everyone wants to see Lucasfilm explore Ben Solo's origin on the big screen, the idea seems highly unlikely. Star Wars has moved on from the sequel trilogy, so there really isn't any point for Lucasfilm to give Kylo Ren his own film. A Disney+ series seems more feasible, though it isn't very likely either.
