Star Wars Fan's Reimagining of Vader Vs. Obi-Wan Duel In A New Hope Will Blow You Away

There have been many attempts to reimagine Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi's duel in Star Wars: A New Hope, but this one may be the best one yet.

The talented FXitinPost shared an incredible take of the iconic confrontation on YouTube, which treated fans with so much more action that they would have loved to see in the original.

FXitinPost has been working on this video for more than a year. He posted the first teaser for the project back in December 2017 and has provided several more updates since then before finally dropping the video.

Some fans thought that the original Star Wars scene cut lacked tension and action although, at the time, the history between these two characters wasn't fleshed out yet. FXitinPost incorporated material from the prequel films, where the prequels dug deeper into the brotherhood of Anakin and Obi-Wan, which made this remake richer.

The legendary Star Wars reimagining is double the length and incorporates other awesome Force powers that really made the battle more dynamic. They use the Force to send each other flying, throw objects around, and control the lightsabers without holding them. Plus, we also get new angles and the dramatic music drastically disproved the scene drastically.

We are also treated with totally badass shots of Darth Vader and Obi-Wan leading up to the fight. In the pivotal moments, we get a callback from the Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Before Darth Vader strikes the death blow, we can hear Anakin and Obi-Wan's gut-wrenching conversation at Mustafar, where Anakin screams out his hate while Obi-Wan expresses his sorrow about having to take the life of someone he considered a brother. This is truly one of the most epic remakes of the Star Wars: A New Hope scene and fans who watched the six-minute-long video seem to agree. Fans are blown away by how it added so much layer to this iconic moment without making any changes to the story.
