There might be a lot of mixed opinions regarding Lucasfilm's Star Wars sequel trilogy, but it looks like some strongly believe that Disney might have saved everyone's galaxy far, far away.

According to a report by Cheat Sheet, there are quite a number of fans who believe that Disney actually revitalized the Star Wars franchise after the Lucasfilm acquisition.

Sure, the Mickey Mouse House's iteration of the franchise also has its dissenters. There are those who criticize Star Wars: The Force Awakens, branding the film as a rip-off of Star Wars: A New Hope. There are others who still clamor against Star Wars: The Last Jedi for its attempts at subverting fan expectations and for "misusing" legacy characters like Luke Skywalker. There are also fans who are entirely against the sequel trilogy because they're against the film's feminist and politically correct agendas.

Despite all of the hate spewed at Disney's direction, Cheat Sheet lists down some of the reasons why some fans still believe that the Mickey Mouse House saved the Star Wars franchise. According to the publication, not only did Disney manage to reawaken the slumbering science fiction giant with The Force Awakens, but it also managed to take the franchise to a new direction with The Last Jedi. There might be a vocal minority against the film, but there are many others who appreciate the film for what it adds to Star Wars' lore.

Not only that, but Disney is adding on a whole lot to the franchise. The Mickey Mouse House has a couple of new Star Wars series set for release on Disney+, the studio's upcoming streaming platform.

To top off all of that, Disney has also built Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland and Walt Disney World, allowing fans to experience the galaxy far, far away in real life.

How about you? Are you convinced that Disney saved the franchise? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
