EA Releases Extended Cut of the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Gameplay Demo

Last EA Play, we were treated to a gameplay demo for the highly anticipated Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from Respwan Entertainment. The longest piece of footage we had was 13 minutes long, but now EA has released an extended cut which gives us about 26 minutes of content.

Check it out:

Order 66 has been executed. Once, staying alive meant hiding your abilities. Now, you must embrace them. Use the Force to manipulate your environment, master lightsaber combat, explore dangerous terrain, and remain one step ahead of the Empire.

From the get-go, we get to see more of Cal breaking into the AT-AT walker. We get to see him swim to it, climb inside, and battle some troopers before he gets to the cockpit. I also think it's cool that we see some kind of storage for the speeder bikes in the walker as well.

Though this is the demo we got, it's actually a story point in the middle of the game. At best, I think the story will start during the start of the Jedi purge where Cal is supposedly still a padawan. The trailers give us some more hints at what happens; Cal goes into hiding, he's spotted using his Force powers, and the real adventure begins.

For now, EA is trying to make sure that nothing goes wrong with the launch of Fallen Order. After the debacle that was the launch of Star Wars Battlefront II, EA Star Wars really needs a win. Hopefully, the success of this game will lead to more Star Wars titles in the future.

Fingers crossed we get a Bounty Hunter-style game based on Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order comes out Nov. 15.
