It can't be denied that Carrie Fisher is one of the most celebrated stars in Hollywood and her untimely death in 2016 left a huge void not only in the Star Wars franchise but in the entire entertainment industry as well. Close to five years since her passing, the acting legend, and beloved Star Wars icon is finally getting her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, much to the delight of her supporters all over the world.



Carrie joins a who's who of A-list celebrities including Willem Dafoe, Norman Reedus, Michael B. Jordan, Jason Momoa, Tessa Thompson, Macaulay Culkin, and her fellow Star Wars actors Ming-Na Wen and Ewan McGregor. Many fans believe that Fisher should've gotten her long-overdue recognition a few years back when she was still alive and well but you know what they say, it's better late than never right?

At long last, Carrie Fisher's legacy will be immortalized on Hollywood Boulevard but let's be real here, even if she didn't get her much-deserved recognition on the Walk of Fame, we all know in our hearts that no amount of award and accolade will be enough to prove just how iconic our Princess Leia truly is.
