Emilia Clarke Sounds Off on Potential Star Wars Return in Lando Series

Star Wars fans are still in a state of euphoria after finding out that Solo character Qi'Ra is still alive and well after making her surprising return in Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters #1, a comic that is set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Considering the comics are actually canon to the franchise, there's always a good chance that the storylines would later be incorporated in live-action, something that has been made a possibility thanks to Disney+.

Qi'Ra's comeback also leaves the door wide open for actress Emilia Clarke to reprise the role in a future Star Wars project and while a Solo Part 2 doesn't seem plausible, the character could still turn up in the upcoming standalone Lando Calrissian series which is currently in development over at Lucasfilm.

When asked about a possible return to the legendary science-fiction franchise on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Game of Thrones actress and soon-to-be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe said that negotiations are not taking place. Emilia did, however, express her glee over Lando getting his own series, saying: "I have heard nothing. Absolutely nothing. But a Lando show makes so much sense, give that man his own show! Yes!"

Given the fact that Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios live under the same umbrella, the chances of Emilia crossing over from one franchise to another seems more than likely. And with the current revelation that Qi'Ri is still alive, Lucasfilm would be foolish not to continue her story.

Speaking of Emilia, she is set to star in Marvel Studios' Secret Invasion.
