We've proven over the years that Star Wars' Luke Skywalker is pretty much a jack of all trades. He's a farmer, a Jedi master, and a great X-Wing pilot as well. However, one fan on Twitter isn't exactly impressed with Luke's resume and has pointed out that Skywalker didn't undergo proper training to be able to fly an X-Wing which such mastery yet he still managed to do so.
A Twitter user named Duncan took to the microblogging site to poke fun and throw a little shade at Luke's miraculous abilities in Episode IV - A New Hope. He wrote: "I'm ready #spaceforce! Ready as Luke was to hop into an X-Wing with no training whatsoever but somehow still flew it through trenches and blew up a whole space station" for good measure, he even tagged actor Mark Hamill in his tweet and the post would catch his attention.
Responding to the fan, the ever-so-hilarious Luke Skywalker actor dismissed his argument and explained how he was able to pilot the X-Wing like a true pro. Hamill said: "Whadda ya mean "no training whatsoever"? I used to bullseye womp-rats in my T-16 back home!"
When you think about it, yeah, Luke's ability to quickly learn how to pilot the X-Wing without proper training seems really questionable but you know, all it takes is a little suspension of disbelief and this one shouldn't really be an issue. I mean, for all we know, Luke might've had an experience flying a ship during his younger years, George Lucas just didn't bother showing it in the film.
