Star Wars: Ewan McGregor Shares Interesting Details About Obi-Wan Kenobi Series

It might still be a long wait for the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series that will air on Disney+ but Ewan McGregor already knows what will happen in the upcoming Star Wars show. The Birds of Prey star has just shared some interesting details about what fans can expect in the new series.

McGregor recently spoke to Men's Journal while promoting his new film Doctor Sleep and he opened up about what will happen in the Star Wars show.

"The storyline sits between Episode III and Episode IV," McGregor said.

That's not exactly big news considering that fans have been speculating about this for months. On the other hand, McGregor also added that Obi-Wan will be somehow different because when we last saw him, "the Jedi Order was falling apart. It will be interesting to take a character we know in a way and show him—Well, his arc will be quite interesting, I think, dealing with that the fact that all the Jedi were slaughtered with the end of Episode III. It's quite something to get over."

At this point, it sounds like McGregor's new show could end up adapting the popular comic book Star Wars #15: From The Journals of Old Ben Kenobi. In the comic book, Obi-Wan actually tries to train Luke Skywalker but things don't turn out so well for him. Although it has not yet been confirmed, we're looking forward to finding out what the Obi-Wan series will be about.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi series has not yet been given an official release date. In the meantime, you can catch McGregor in Doctor Sleep, which is screening in theaters worldwide.
