Star Wars: Episode IX Trailer Rumored For Release This Wednesday

It's pretty quiet without any Star Wars film set for this December, and with Star Wars: Episode IX a year away from its release date, fans have been hoping for a little teaser from Lucasfilm to liven up the Christmas season. While the studio still seems to be busy working on the production of Episode IX, reports claim that Lucasfilm already has a teaser trailer prepared for the highly anticipated sequel to Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

According to a new report by Express, speculation has been spreading word that the first teaser for the third and final film in Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy may very well drop this Wednesday, giving fans something to look forward to this Christmas. With Episode IX set for release on December 20 next year, speculation has it that Disney may very well want to begin marketing the film on December 19.

Though the rumors have to be confirmed, reports say that cinemas have already received the secretly coded teaser for Episode IX.

While these reports ought to be taken with a grain of salt knowing how difficult it is to assess the credibility of online speculative pieces, fans have long since been anticipating the release of the trailer the past few weeks. Disney released the trailers for both Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame, as well as its trailers for its live-action film Dumbo, and its CGI animated movie Toy Story 4. With so many trailers now out in the open, it's hard to believe that Disney would miss out on releasing a teaser for Episode IX.

Star Wars: Episode IX premieres December 20, 2019.
