Star Wars: Episode IX Trailer Might Not Appear in This Year's Super Bowl

Fans who were hoping to see the first trailer of Star Wars: Episode IX in this year's Super Bowl is about to hear some bad news. While nothing is official yet, Deadline claims that Disney is not planning to release the Episode IX trailer in this year's Super Bowl. There might be new footage for Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel but we won't see anything Star Wars just yet.

According to the report, Disney is confident that their trailer for the film will be so big that they do not need the Super Bowl. The company isn't completely wrong since Star Wars has always been a focal talking point, often becoming the main topic of discussion for geeks once a trailer or two gets released.

It seems like the lack of Star Wars won't be hurting the Super Bowl, which will reportedly have new trailers of Hobbs and Shaw, Wonder Park, and maybe more. This does ensure an enjoyable Super Bowl, especially those that don't care about sports and only want to see new trailers.

The report also claims that Sony and Warner Bros. are skipping the Bowl, so we probably won't see Shazam in this game anytime soon. Then again, they could shock fans with something new but we'll have to wait and see.

Star Wars: Episode IX will be coming out on December 20.
