Star Wars fans might know very little about Supreme Leader Snoke and his origin in the sequel trilogy, however, it seems like Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has a new-tie in Snoke comic book on the way, and it looks like it's teasing Snoke's connection to Yoda.
Posting on its official website, Star Wars just recently announced Star Wars: Age of Resistance, a new Marvel comic book series set to tell "new, essential stories about the greatest heroes and villains of the sequel trilogy."
The comic book set has one series focused on Snoke, one of the sequel trilogy's big bads. The very first issue of Star Wars: Age of Resistance – Snoke is titled The Devil's Apprentice. The synopsis teases the beginning of Kylo Ren's training under Snoke's wing.
"Supreme Leader Snoke's brutal training of Kylo Ren begins. Will the sadistic Snoke break his tormented protégé? Or has he underestimated the son of Han and Leia?"
The cover of the comic book issue seems pretty innocent enough with Snoke on his throne, but the branches of the tree behind him have fans speculating whether or not The Age of Resistance is teasing a connection to Jedi Master Yoda.
According to Reddit user vaderr21, the tree looks a lot like it's from the swamp of Dagobah, Yoda's home during his exile where he trained Luke Skywalker in The Empire Strikes Back.
Could Yoda have something to do with Snoke? Could the Supreme Leader have ties to Yoda's teaching methods?
Let's wait and see.
Star Wars: Age of Resistance – Supreme Leader Snoke #1 is set for release on September 11, 2019.
