Star Wars: Episode IX Rumors Suggest The Appearance Of Vader And His Castle

With Star Wars favorites like Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Leia (the late Carrie Fisher), and Lando (Billy Dee Williams) set to return in Star Wars: Episode IX, it comes as no surprise to hear rumors making its way up and down the hill saying that Darth Vader is set to make an appearance in the Star Wars sequel trilogy's third and final installment.

According to a report by Cinema Blend, one of the most recent rumors involving Vader's return in Episode IX suggests that director J.J. Abrams had a set built for a specific scene shot somewhere near Mount Etna in Italy.

For those who aren't familiar, Mount Etna is an active volcano where fight scenes between Anakin (Hayden Christensen) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) were shot for Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. If the report is proven true, then it's likely that we'll get to see Vader and his castle in Episode IX.

Other rumors also suggest that Kylo Ren will share a scene together with his Vader – though not an actual physical scene. In the scene, the estranged son of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Lei will see a vision of Vader having his mechanical appendages upgraded. Not only that, but Ben Solo will also have visions of himself being surrounded by the Force Ghost of Anakin Skywalker. According to the rumor, Ben will shift between these two states in the film.

These all sound very exciting for fans. Vader has always been a fan-favorite villain. The heavy-breathing baddie has become a pop-culture icon over the years, and the simple sound of his breath usually sends fans screaming in cinemas.
