Star Wars: Episode IX Rumored To Include A Scene Between Anakin And Rey 'Like A Horror Movie'

Star Wars fans might be expecting major Star Wars: Episode IX news announcements during the 2019 Star Wars Celebration in Chicago this weekend, but somehow rumors and leaks regarding the upcoming Star Wars entry continue to circulate on the internet. One of the most recent rumors to run up and down the mill talks about a scene between Anakin Skywalker and Rey (Daisy Ridley), one that's been described to seem much like "a horror movie" instead of a Star Wars moment.

According to a report by Express, there's word going around about a scene in Episode IX that involves both Rey and the Force Ghost of Anakin Skywalker. In the scene, Rey begins to hear the voice of Anakin as she finds herself inside of the Lost City within a Jedi Location. There she finds the Force Ghost of Anakin in a black cloak with a hood over its head and with one blue glowing eye.

Rey then hears a mixture of what seems to be both the Jedi Code and the Sith code. The young Jakku orphan then heads down a set of stairs following where Force Ghost Anakin leads her until the apparition disappears.

It's an interesting scene. The dark elements make it seem more like a scene from a horror movie, however, there's no questioning that Force Ghosts belong to Star Wars.

Of course, as with any rumor, fans ought to take this new leak with a grain of salt. Sure, there might have been word saying that Anakin would return in Episode IX, however, we have to wait for confirmation from Lucasfilm.

Star Wars: Episode IX premieres December 20, 2019.
