Star Wars Episode IX Rumor Says Luke Will Return In The Flesh

Lucasfilm might continue to keep the secrets of Star Wars: Episode IX close to its chest, but that hasn't stopped rumors from circling around the internet, feeding the Star Wars fanbase that's been dying to know what's to come in the third and final sequel trilogy installment. Now, the newest rumors put the spotlight on Mark Hamill's return as Luke Skywalker, saying that the Jedi Master might actually appear in the flesh in the film.

According to a new report by Movie Web, there's an odd little rumor going around saying that Luke Skywalker isn't going to pop up in Episode IX as a Force Ghost, but instead as the flesh and blood that he is. Not only that, but word has it that Luke might ditch his beard in the upcoming film.

Taking place in a jungle planet that has been recently confirmed in recent photos taken from the set of Episode IX, these rumors say that Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Luke meet on some ancient stone steps that led to the rooms of a few Jedi Temples. Luke has his physical form in the scene – quite a surprise considering that fans saw him fade into the Force while basking in the light of a twin sunset in Ahch-To. Here, in the jungle world, Luke is holding the hilt of his green lightsaber, and Rey examines the weapon.

Clean-faced and short-haired, Luke looks a bit younger than when we saw him astral projecting to fight off Kylo Ren in The Last Jedi. Could Luke have found a way to manifest himself through the Force in the Jedi temple?

Right now, with so many different rumors going on about Episode IX, fans ought to be reminded to take everything with a grain of salt. Rumors remain as such till we get actual confirmation from Lucasfilm. Let's just sit back and wait and see whether we actually get to see this younger Luke in Episode IX.
