The film known as Star Wars: Episode IX still doesn't have an official title. However, that could change "in just two weeks," according to a new leak.
People have been waiting rather impatiently for the first trailer for Episode IX. Although there have been predictions that the teaser would be dropped by early November, Disney and Lucasfilm have yet to release any footage from the highly anticipated Star Wars sequel. Interestingly, a new report suggests that the trailer, along with the film's title, could finally be revealed in December (via Express).
According to the report, the studio might already be polishing footage that will be included in the first teaser.
"What's really exciting is a lot of trailer production agencies out there are going to start work on the Episode 9 teaser in just two weeks from now, working with the footage provided by Disney and Lucasfilm," the report claims.
So when can we expect to see this footage? The report continues by stating that it "could mean we will get our first look at some footage by the very beginning of 2019."
Although it might still be over a month of waiting for the teaser, there are speculations that the official title will be revealed before the trailer. After all, the Episode IX title will reveal what we could expect from the final movie in the current Star Wars trilogy. Although we're certainly hoping to get this information soon, we still recommend taking this with a grain of salt.
The still-untitled Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
