Star Wars: Episode IX had started production back in August of last year, and everyone is expecting the film to wrap up production soon. As it turns out, we may have to wait a bit longer.
This was shared on Reddit, based on information from a puppeteer who is working on Episode IX:
Mike Quinn, Star Wars Puppeteer, explains to me how filming now of EPIX now won’t be finished until MlD-LATE FEBRUARY, NOT Early February. IF they are waiting to announce the title until after filming, don’t expect a title possibly now until late February or March.

Other than the fact that we have to wait longer for the film to finish, this could mean we won't get a title reveal until the movie wraps.
A lot of people were guessing that Lucasfilm would give us the official Episode IX title by the end of January, seeing as they made the same move with The Last Jedi back in 2017. However, it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer. If we don't get anything by February, I'm guessing they're going to reveal it in April during Star Wars Celebration; they should throw in the first teaser while they're at it.
Seeing that this is the finale of the sequel trilogy, I'm sure that J.J. Abrams is trying his best to deliver something spectacular. Then again, this is the Star Wars fanbase we're talking about; there's no way everyone is going to be happy with whatever they get. Until now people are still whining about The Last Jedi.
Personally, I just hope that Abrams takes more risks this time around. A lot of people liked The Force Awakens, but it was really just a rehash of A New Hope. I also don't want Episode IX to just retcon everything that Rian Johnson established with TLJ. Give us something new, Lucasfilm!
Star Wars Episode IX comes out Dec. 20.
