Star Wars: Episode IX Leak Says Han Solo Will Return Through TFA Deleted Scenes

There is little doubt that the most heartbreaking moment in Star Wars: The Force Awakens was the death of Han Solo at the hand of his own son Kylo Ren. But is it possible that Harrison Ford will be back in Star Wars: Episode IX?

A new leak suggests that Disney and Lucasfilm have found an interesting way to bring Han back in Episode IX (via Express). Instead of getting Ford to reprise his role in the sequel, the new film will reportedly make use of deleted scenes from The Force Awakens to reunite Han with Princess Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker.

"Disney and Lucasfilm are going through deleted scenes that were never shown to the public from The Force Awakens that will be inserted into Episode 9. Also, they are looking at pieces of dialogue spoken by Harrison Ford to mix them into scenes from the final film in this trilogy in order for the character to have proper dialogue with others in this film."

It's a strange plan that somehow works with how Episode IX is being done right now. It has already been confirmed that the movie will use TFA scenes featuring the late Carrie Fisher. If this is so, it wouldn't be a huge stretch if these sequences also included Ford. Although it would be great to see Han, Luke, and Leia together again for the last time, we would recommend taking this with a grain of salt.

The official title of Star Wars: Episode IX has not yet been revealed. Nevertheless, the film is scheduled for release on December 20.
